Earth Marine Water + AHA 4% is Haeckels first chemical (100% natural of course) exfoliant that helps in cell turnover to reveal more youthful skin with visibly reduced pores, discolouration and fine lines.
The solution acts as a leave-on exfoliator that works overnight to remove dead skin cells when used 2-3 times per week. Simply wipe all over the face.
Haeckels AHA is glycolic acid which is derived from Sugar cane. It’s an effective chemical exfoliant that gently resurfaces skin texture and prevents clogged pores. With regular use, this gives you skin cellular turnover a boost helping to fade the appearance of hyperpigmentation, sun damage and fine lines.
If you’re a beginner to AHA, Haeckels recommend mixing earth marine water into either borage seed oil or tomato seed oil. The blend will act as a buffer and only allow Earth Marine Water + AHA to be lightly absorbed into the skin.
Haeckels seaweed alginate is the best carrier for any formula. It’s vitamin-rich and helps to rebuild the dermis layer once the dead layer of the epidermis is removed. It’s vital nourishing and antiseptic qualities help to give your soft skin and healthy glow.
Haeckels then add in a small dose of our vegan Hyaluronic acid + vitamin B5 – the same that’s found in our Algae Plump + B3. This immensely hydrating ingredient will replenish and soothe skin.
Next, Epilobium Fleischeri Extract is added that helps to prevent oily skin, restore the skin’s healthy appearance and support pore size reduction. It’s a powerful sebum-regulating, soothing and anti-irritant agent. It contains Oenothein B and flavonoids that inhibit the activity of 5a-reductase. In English, this reduces the sebum production & pore size, which leads to visibly clearer skin.
Haeckels then add Allantoin which helps to further soothe the skin while buffering any possible irritation from the chemical exfoliation process. Allantoin is extracted from the comfrey plant and it’s anti-inflammatory.
So, it calms redness and inflammation. While research continues, it has been observed that the alkaloid dehydroevodiamine is responsible for decreasing the tyrosinase activity; this enzyme is responsible for melanin production. So, it is beneficial in reducing the appearance of age spots and blemishes or dark spots on the skin. It also improves microcirculation on the skin and enhances radiance.
HOW TO USE: Before use, clean your face thoroughly.
Use Earth Marine Water + AHA 4% 2-3 times per week.
After applying the Earth Marine Water + AHA 4% it’s really important to add a Eco Marine Moisturizer on top – this will keep your skin hydrated whilst the AHA works its magic.
In the morning, cleanse your face again before applying Haeckels Algae Plump + B3 and Eco Marine Cream. You need to apply this quickly after Algae Plump to lock in the moisture.
Applay a daily SPF afterwards. With increased skin turnover, your new skin will be more susceptible to the dangerous effects of UVA and UVB exposure.
